Commissioned Original Wall Mural for Aruj Salon and Spa – Coconut Grove Florida

I was commissioned to create an inviting space for the entrance to the “Spa” at Aruj Salon here in Coconut Grove. Aruj is located at the cornerof Fuller and Grand Ave.
I started with the blank door and two walls and ceiling.

The left wall had two electrical boxes on it and a hole in the wall, so I took a piece of canvas, continued the artwork on it
and hung it on a dowl at the top to cover the boxes but still accessible.
The rest is magic.

Commissioned Paintings – 1984 Peter Island Resort BVI

I was commissioned by Peter Island Resort in the BVI to create 2 oil paintings 6ft x 10ft each which were placed in their restaurant. The paintings are called “DEADMANS BAY I”  and  “DEADMANS BAY II” . The beautiful beach and the quietness of this private island is what attracts people to this remote and pristine resort in the caribbean sea.

Commissioned to paint Coconut Grove Information Booth

The black information booths may soon be colorful .

The Black Information Booths may not be black too much longer. There is a plan in place to have local artists spruce up the drab booths with artwork.

The first booth painted may be the one at CocoWalk, where Louis is shown here. Local aritst Eileen Seitz, who did a couple of the peacocks (like the one in our masthead above) is said to be desiging the first one. It is going to have a “Coconut Grove Colorful Kiosk”with plants painted around the “little bungalow”.
