Guavaberry Emporium – Historical Philipsburg Sint. Martin, N.A. Landmark

guavaberry1997.-2

In 2000 I was once again contacted by the manager of the Historical Philipsburg World Famous landmark to create an updated  18″ x 24″ watercolor of the shop now called “Guavaberry Emporium”. Including the local ladies and the native architecture this historical site in Philipsburg, Sint. Martin has been preserved.  Here you can buy many jams, jellies and other goodies known on  Sint Martin.

Hawaiian Tropic – Sun tan lotion advertisement

In 1972 when I was living on Key West I met the owner of Hawaiian Tropics sun tan lotion. He liked my use of black and white illustration and commissioned me to draw an illustration of a newspaper advertisement  of various Hawaiian Tropica  sun tan lotion bottles places amongst orchids.

LET ME FIND THE SEA

for-website

Sea Turtle Oversight Protection www.SeaTurtleOP.org,  commissioned Eileen Seitz to paint this magnificent night scene of a turtle returning to sea.

6″ x 9″ Postcards were printed and placed into the hotel bedrooms along Broward County’s Beaches to guide and ask the guests to close the blinds at night before they leave the room.

STOP is a sea turtle conservation organization that is dedicated to the scientific and educational aspects of the human impacts to sea turtles on Broward County’s beaches, nationally and internationally.

Our primary directive is to humanly rescue the hatchlings from injury and death caused by
disorientation due to artificial illumination of the nesting habitat.
The science is obtained from our collection of data through real time observation and FWC
approved night vision cameras filming the nightly hatch outs and disorientation events of
endangered and threatened sea turtle hatchlings.

This data is compiled, organized, updated and available to the public via our website.
The data pool is the most extensive and accurate disorientation database in the state
of Florida to date operated by a private nonprofit.

“Queen Of Coconut Grove” my 2nd peacock . I was fortunate to have had a second sponsor Pat Sessions and Family for the benefit of the Village Council inspired my vision for this imagery. He asked me to paint Main Hwy, the historic playhouse, Charles Street where the first Bahamian villagers settled in the late 1800’s , Greenstreets restaurant, Commodore Plaza down to the Post office and LuLus restaurant on the far right corner. Grovites who live here love Coconut Grove. We live outdoors and bicycle, sail and stroll our neighborhoods.. So putting the local “Peacocks” in town amongst the gardens that grow profusely here is my way of showing how much many of love Coconut Grove.
